Ratty Christmas
Twas the Night Before Christmas - Ratty Poem by glider11
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, except for the mouse!
Actually two rats, with fur of black and white,
And big beige ears, twitching left and then right.
They didn’t stay still, they played and they rustled
To their owners’ dismay, their fur was all tussled.
When what to their wondrous eyes did appear?
A red and white creature; their first reaction was fear.
But then the fuzzy figure, opened his sack.
The ratties soon saw, treats were something he did not lack.
Their eyes lit up, and their paws began grasping
For treats and toys that they soon would be clasping.
With childlike joy, they frolicked, feasted, and pranced.
The generous jolly fellow then left them, occupied and entranced.
He whispered a phrase before vanishing from the ratties’ sight;
Merry Christmas to all and to all ratties a good night!
It's the first Saturday of December that means it's time for a Silly Saturday blip :-D
I found this confused rat in the hardware store and the poem in the internet ;-)
Thank you so much for your lovely comments, hearts and stars for my two Saint Nicholas yesterday . All is much, very much appreciated!
I'm so far behind commenting on your lovely journals, sigh! Teba's vacation started yesterday and it's a kind of vacation for me, too. I was busy most of the day but in the evening I could't get out of my lazy mode...
