Passes, Castles & Markets

Late start after a good lie in, drove south to Sonthofen, then over Germany's highest public road, the Jochpass & along the Austrian Tannheimer Tal valley to Reutte where I quickly visited the farming family's B&B where I stayed on skiing trip in 1967 & met up with one of the young lads on the photo in my Blip for 31st December 1967. Lovely, but had to move on, quickly picking up provisions & coffee at Lidl in Reutte before heading back over the border into Germany & the Neuschwanstein Disney -Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - Castle.

Just a photo op before heading into next door town, Füssen for a walk in the nicely decorated streets and a visit to the very atmospheric Christmas Market in the courtyard of the town's Castle.
Finally to restaurant for a good Schnitzel & ΔΆãsspatzen before heading home & a special stop off at Penny Supermarket to buy loads of bars of Milka chocolate on offer at €0.69. For export purposes only so long as Ryanair conform luggage bags allow.
