What an amazing experience it was to have lunch at this 3-Michelin-star restaurant in Illhausern, Alsace. The food was expectedly delicious, starting with awakening pleasure through the eyes via beautifully composed dishes, covering a variety of food items — all of them bite sized. Our tastebuds delighted after each consecutive dish (there were 10 total).

But what impressed me most was how attentive the staff was throughout the four hours we spent there: we felt cajoled, catered to, and spoiled, in the way a family might envelop you
