Rag tree
My hiking friends had a Christmas get together where we had good food and laughs but we also got our crafty on!
Wendy had seen one of these trees made from torn strips of material and shared it with us with the idea of making one at our party. Of course! She gathered all the supplies and we reimbursed her for our share.
It was loads of laughs as the tearing of the material did not always go as we intended. A few times we resorted to using scissors.
So happy I found this group of women. We have only been hiking together for 2 years but it feels like I have known them forever. I am the oldest. In one of those small world after all moments, the newest member of our group is sister and daughter to men who came to Colorado to hunt elk and deer with Jerry years ago along with a couple of her dads brothers. I have known them for a while as they owned a sporting goods and fishing bait shop but I had never met her. She remembered them hunting out west but did not know who they had hunted with. We hugged like long lost sisters! It was so crazy!
Never hold back from meeting new people. You never know the difference they might make in your life!
