'On my Way to parkrun...'

I've often noticed this little chap emerging from a tree trunk just below the steps leading to the prom and Edinburgh parkrun.

I was particularly struck by him today on my way back to the car - he's a bit like an old friend!

Many parkruns in the west had been cancelled because of the yellow and amber warnings for wind and rain, though the east coast avoided the worst and we went ahead. Nevertheless, against this background, the number taking part was fewer than usual, and it was certaibly wet and quite windy (extra).
