A weird quiet on the Humber...

...from our porthole at 6.30 am...

A day of travelling - long, but very efficient!

The bus picked us up in Amsterdam at 3.30pm yesterday as arranged, and took us swiftly to the P&O ferry at Rotterdam.

A lovely meal on the ferry, and with stabilisers out it was solid as a rock so we had a great sleep ;)

A long queue through passport control after docking, but the promised bus was there waiting to take us from Hull to North Shields.

A wild journey up the A19 - buffeted around by the wind more than the ferry was! 

Taxi home from the port at North Shields, and a quick turn round to drive across the A69 to the Marina to see Dave and Sue. Yay - made it!
