Meltdown
Not the sort of thing you want to see a couple of weeks before Christmas.
A couple of days ago we treated ourselves to a scoop of ice cream from the freezer. I remember noticing that it was easy to scoop but didn't think much more about it. Today I went for something in the freezer and realised it had packed up, along with the fridge. Less than four years old (but out of warranty, of course) so hopefully it can be repaired at a reasonable cost. Fortunately, we didn't lose more than a couple of things and we have our fridge/freezer from the old house out in the garage (you have to keep the beer somewhere) which is over 20 years old and works perfectly, so we shifted a lot of stuff out there. Not so convenient though, as the garage is across the other side of the garden.
We seem to have missed the worst of Storm Darragh here today but looking at the forecast we will get the tail end of it tomorrow as it passes us by and drags down strong (and no doubt cold) winds from the north. I may be looking for another indoor blip.
