The spaniel

Alfie the spaniel on his 14th birthday today. When he was ill a few months ago I didn't think he would make it to 14 but here he is enjoying his new bed (with memory foam mattress) that should be better for his arthritis. So far we have survived Storm Darragh. The wind raged through the night, gusting up to 70mph, and I've been up since 5am. We had a short lived power cut and have lost one crab apple tree. We walked the spaniel down into the valley for a bit of respite this afternoon. Its much calmer down there but the river Teme has broken its banks so flooding is going to be the main problem tomorrow.
