Scotney Christmas

A wet and windy start to the day.  We decided to stay in bed rather than attempt the Tunbridge Wells parkrun.
The National trust property near where we are staying was closed until 1pm due to the storm.  We walked on local footpaths and then found the local village before walking to the cafe for lunch.  The house was open but the gardens were closed off. The house was nicely decorated and surprisingly busy. This is one of the many Christmas trees in the themed rooms. 
Now back in the cottage after putting all our soggy socks,  hats and gloves on the radiators to dry.  19,000 steps on slippery wet paths with barely another human in sight.
