Advent Lights.

The Feast Day of Saint Ambrose. 339 born in Germany to 397, died in Italy. Bishop and Doctor of the Church. Patron saint of Beekeepers. He promoted the use of hymns during acts of worship. He also supported clerical ethics and monasteries.

We are staying home today, due to the continuing heavy rain and inclement weather. There was no harm to the garden due to overnight strong winds, but I put a few vulnerable plants in tbe shelter of the greenhouse. The red hollyhock still has flowers.

I was intending to go to a local primary school Christmas Fayre this afternoon, but I decided to avoid getting a drenching and save some money for the Happy Cats charity we support.

I photographed our Advent Lights. One of the candle bulbs has not lit up which is a bit disappointing because they were new last year.

I am getting a new wardrobe delivered on Tuesday, so I have to empty and store clothes and a variety of little treasureable things from my old wardrobe and chest of drawers.

We are having a relaxing time with a coffee and watching Escape to the Country.
