Storm Darragh

This storm visited North Devon overnight bringing high winds and rain; reports of trees down and some roofs being blown off etc. Very unpleasant.
In my garden the little bird house on an old apple tree stump has blown over and apart from the bins playing in the yard I'm virtually unscathed thankfully. I rescued the house; the stump can wait for later.
Today was the Saturday gang's Christmas get together for a lunch; the cafe was open so we all trundled along, enjoyed a very tasty meal, exchanged cards and small gifts and then wandered on home in the rain and wind. Not weather for loitering! It rained, the sun tried to come out, the winds blew.  The tide was meant to be going out but having trouble as the wind was blowing upriver!  Did not see a single bird anywhere, so hoping they are hunkered down safely.
