Grandeza

A return trip to El Escorial today in glorious sunshine. The monastery/palace is enormous, breathtaking in it's scale and severity (but ornately beautiful inside). As it was Monday all was shut but there was plenty to do, including a menú del día and a 200m climb up into surrounding hills!
