The erasure of more history

I’m fed up with how many beautiful and special buildings are getting destroyed and pulled down in Glasgow. There are so many incredible pieces of architecture that are just left to ruin. it’s a disgrace. This photo is of the ABC on Sauchiehall Street. It is currently getting pulled down because of some very blatant arson. It’s amazing when developers are told no in Glasgow all of the protected buildings miraculously seem to find themselves on fire. Oh well, better pull it down and build more “luxury flats”. Actually, this building is getting turned into student accommodation, but it will be just as boring, poorly built and soulless as all of the rest of the new builds going up in and around Glasgow. Soon we’ll find ourselves with a city that will be completely unrecognisable from what it once was and not for the better.
