Wound up in Wexford

Tuning the harp

In the morning we joined the gardening group in an outing to a country market in New Ross.  This occurs every Friday morning, and we had never heard about it, so we're very grateful that the group has introduced us.  Lots of home produced food - cakes, bread, jam, knitted items, lovely wood items.  We will be back.

We were very restrained.  We bought a calender (of some of the ladies of the Embroidery group posing without a stitch to raise funds to make a suitable home for the Ros Tapestry - currently residing in Kilkenny Castle) some apples, and some small turned wood items.

In the afternoon we shifted a bit of the larger furniture away from the wall, to see if we could find any signs of a permanent home of the mice - W was concerned they might have taken up residence in the piano - relieved to find no evidence of that.  We found lots of spiders and dust, but no bedding.

And I spent some time tuning the harp.  I'll fine tune it tomorrow and we can try a beginner's lesson or two on You Tube.

In the evening I finished tacking fabric onto the hexagons - now to sew them together.
