Sing(ing) The Greys

Last week when I was booking tickets for a gig next year at the Tolbooth in Stirling, I noticed 2 gigs this weekend that were sold out, but they offered an opportunity to be added to the waiting list. Yesterday on our walk they called me so why not!

It was a bit of a rush through the wind and the rain to get to Stirling but we made it in time. This was night one of a Tiny Changes charity event to celebrate the music of Frightened Rabbit whose singer Scott Hutchison took his own life 6 years ago. There was a "house band", arranged by the bassist from Admiral Fallow, and I think 14 singers who each performed a couple of songs with the band or on their own. I didn't realise there were that many singers until I just counted them, it was a great evening, lots of varied versions of their songs, and my absolute favourite that I was relieved they played was The Woodpile, stunning rendition. Late night home, less wind and rain.
