My Spirit Rejoices
All day on the road, taking Christmas hampers (well, reusable Christmas bags, full of goodies) to our colleagues. I really am hopeless at taking photos in these situations, too busy socialising - this is literally the only photo I took - of a delicious lunch at Eberson and Madalena's, joined by Nicéia; Aldeir had to stay at home with Daniel, who was ill.
Then on to Mora, to catch up with Bia and Vítor. And a bonus hug with Manuel, coming in to teach Portugese to a group of Nepali workers - for free.
There were lots of hugs and laughter, and tears as well. And hours of driving - by Mike. I entertained him by reading, especially TheOttawacker's Blips of his holiday in Portugal, this one of their journey up to Évora if you want a laugh. And a lot of of fog .
Mary´s Voice: And Mary said:
My soul magnifies the Lord,
and My spirit rejoices in God my Saviour. (Luke 1v46-47)
She wasn't just an empty vessel to carry Jesus, she had her own soul and her own spirit - a person, an expressive person, rejoicing in the Saviour she was actually carrying in her womb at that moment. Amazing! Sixth video.
Gratefuls:
- brave colleagues, not giving up
- getting home safely
- a warm fire in our home (my feet never defrosted in one place)
