Streetfighter...

In recent years I've noticed how pied wagtails have become increasingly urbanised and habituated to humans. Far from being the shy, flighty birds that I remember, they are now often to be seen running in and out between the feet of pedestrians in the high street.

This little chap was one of a pair carrying out a fairly vicious running battle, presumably over territorial rights, in Kingston market square this morning.
