Another relaxing day

Backblipped Friday 6th December

I’m getting mused up with what we did on each day as the pina colada I talked about yesterday was today’s drink de jour. it’s not that important but the reason I’m back blipping is really for my own benefit and I like to be accurate!

So on this day, the 16th I enjoyed a lovely 30 minutes walking round and round the promenade deck. 3 turns is a kilometre (I think) so I did about 6 or 7. I had time to enjoy a few talks today and the one I enjoyed most was hearing Daisy Goodwin talk about her passion for Maria Callas after she discovered her music at the age of 8. It was a fascinating insight into the life of a woman who happened to have a beautiful voice and caught the attention of a very rich man.

Choir was fun and we’re sounding pretty good for 90 minutes of rehearsal! Managed to catch a few minutes of a talk on the worst literary lovers before I headed to the other venue for Behind the scenes at No 10. It was full of interesting snippets including the fact the Larry the cat can take against people and has delivered many scratches.

I was a bit later getting to hobby corner so I really just chatted and help some of the others in the quiz.

We headed to the pop up Indian restaurant where we enjoyed some very tasty food and a rather surprising Indian white wine which slipped down very nicely.

Made it to the theatre for the late show, a comedian called Phil Melbourance who had the audience in stitches with his old school humour.
