Unexpected (Day 3497)
Not quite as sore this morning as yesterday, but still sore enough that I was keen to get the first painkillers of the day down my neck. I headed to town to get on with the last couple of bits on the kitchen re-fit that I was at yesterday and was finished by 10am. I could have gone on to start another job, but decided that I would head home instead.
I had a brief catch up with my beautiful wife before she zoomed off to do other things.
A wander with Sigyn at Lyde helped ease off the sciatica a bit, and we were lucky enough to avoid rain and hail showers.
Back home, as I finished lunch, a mate showed up and presented me with a present to say thank you. I am hugely surprised by a totally unexpected gift from Mr C. I have always liked the look of a Damascus blade but never owned one. My picture doesn't really do it justice.
I had a little job to look at in Stromness and thought it would be a good opportunity to take a pic of the new knife and meet up with HV and R who had gone for a quick ride on the horses.
