A Spontaneous Get Away!

Posting a day late...
MrWK is working near Roseburg, Oregon, almost 200 miles from where I live in Portland, so it's hard to see him while he's working there. He's been there for several months over the course of this year, and will be finished, we hope, by the end of this month. He suggested that we have a spontaneous get away, just for the night, in Eugene, OR - about a 2 hour drive for me, and about 1 1/2 hrs for him. He left work a bit early and we met up in Eugene around 5 pm and had a really delightful time staying in a tiny Airbnb guest cottage. Went to a beer garden that is part of a food cart pod (a group of food carts if that's a new term for you). Plenty of heaters and choices of food. I don't know how we got started laughing, but I haven't laughed that hard in ages. It was literally infectious...so much fun!

The only picture I took last night was of the outside of the cottage - the trees are lit up with light strings. It was very foggy and atmospheric!
