I'd intended to put my Christmas tree up before today, but this week's been busy and I hadn't, so when Nottingham Jan came to lunch the house was undecorated... not that it mattered. 

She'd challenged me to cook from my Jerusalem book, so after much deliberation and bearing in mind Jan's T1 diabetic and also celiac I opted for Risotto with Marinated Feta, and Courgette and Tomato Salad. But middle eastern recipes are not that simple, involving lots of spices and herbs and there was a lot of prep. Delicious though and very Zoe!

Later I found the Christmas box and sorted out my excess baubles, intending to take them to the charity shop on saturday, but if I get the tree up tomorrow I may find that I need to keep a few.
