Leaving the Island
Back to Rio.
We swam, had breakfast at 8 am, packed and checked out.
Marcos was helicoptering us to Abraão at 9:30 am.
The boat was at 10 am and half an hour later we arrived at Porto Real.
Our driver was there and we went on the 2 hrs drive to our Hotel.
This driver was a much nicer driver than the last one.
In the Hotel we were greeted by Diego and we got room 1401 as agreed.
I was soooo happy.
1401 is a huge room with loads of space - much better than the 18th floor one we had before.
The view is not quite as spectacular but it is still fabulous.
We were tired and decided to have a very chilled afternoon.
Diego also reminded me of the sunburn remedy he was using and we went to the chemist to get it.
It is called Caladryl.
It's a spray and it is AMAZING!
We went for a walk though the streets and had an ice cream and a coffee then went back to the hotel planning to go for a swim.
The sun had already left the beach and the water felt damn cold.
We skipped the swim.
Went back to the hotel - had a coffee at the bar then got ready for dinner.
We walked all the way to Galeto Sats just to find it closed for renovation works!
Doh!!!
So we walked all the way back and ended up at our beloved Montagu’s for a Picanha and some fried Sardines.
It was a lot of food.
We were knackered and stuck to the beer.
Back to the room and crashed.
Blipping Marcos our Ilha captain.
