The Guildhall, Newport

A wet and miserable day so I went shopping in Newport, my home town. I had an office in this building for a few years. It wasn’t very nice! Some of the rooms were closed off as there were pigeons flying around!
The outside looks as though it has had some work done. It was built in 1819 in the Neo Classical Style, designed by John Nash and is a Grade 2 listed building. It was good to see the Christmas lights in situ. I must go back when it’s dark.
