Light reading

Bought in Waitrose this morning as I like Peter May writing and his Enzo MacCleod character is interesting.

I should really have gone to our local independent book shop (guilt sets in!) but I’m afraid it would have been much more expensive so I will go there next time.

Extremely angry with a certain on-line well known retailer (named after an African river) - I ordered an item last evening which was accepted and this morning I get an email telling me that my account has been restricted to… “digital purchases only due to multiple violations of our returns and refund policy”…!

As far as I can remember I have never returned anything as I don’t buy a lot but have many years ago (4/6) informed them that an item was damaged and was told to keep it - also when I had a double delivery of the same item again i was told to keep it.

I’m now awaiting news that my account details have been put right after a long phone call with customer services.
