Number147

By Number147

Thursday

I was out very early to have breakfast at Jane's hotel. She didn't stay here because she's very allergic to dogs.

I drove her to Chippenham and saw her safely onto her train back to Scotland. She'll be worn out!

Clive has gone on a jolly with two of my brothers and a bunch of other old men. They've gone by bus and Clive is the only one not old enough for a bus pass. I expect they'll be withdrawn by the time Clive reaches 67.

I made and have frozen a pile of mince pies and also cooked a batch.

Hetty was hopeful for a taste but was unlucky.

The weather has deteriorated horribly. I feel I need a good walk but it really is dreadful and we are under another weather warning.

Hetty doesn't like walks in heavy rain but she may tolerate the wind. We may brave a quick circuit.
