A Charm of Goldies

The goldfinches that used to visit our garden daily have been absent for a few weeks and I'm not certain why - possibly they are still happily finding food for themselves on the seed-heads that are around the area. 
Anyway, this morning they have returned in numbers - at least 15-20 flitting around in the trees and half a dozen at a time vying for position on both feeders. Managed a few shots before next doors cat appeared and they all flew off, but I'm sure they will be back now they've discovered our delicious offerings again :)
