Santa Slayed : A Crime Scene!, Rye
It was another cold and grey day today but we decided to venture out anyway and head to Rye. By the time we got there we were pretty hungry so we went straight to our favourite pub there, The Standard Inn. My brother had sticky Korean chicken wings and I had a cheeseburger with fries, which I shared with him as my choice was a main and his was more of a starter. The food was delicious and, of course, we had a beer each to wash it down with.
We then had a walk around the cobbled streets and I managed to add to my lizard collection as I spotted a fine example in a collectables emporium. It's now sitting on my sideboard with two of its' bigger brethren that I bought from the same shop over the past couple of years. They look like a proper little family!
Soon enough we were meandering back to the car and that's when I spotted today's image outside a kebab shop. I liked the forlorn eye of the deflated Santa looking back at mine. For all the world it made me think of a comical crime scene so I shot it with flash to give it a touch of Wegee (I have a bad habit of leaving my lens hood on when using on camera flash which always leads to a bad shadow at the bottom of the frame. Luckily, this time, I remembered to remove it)!
