The squirrel saga continues
He spent most of the day trying to figure out how to get the coconut. So far, no success. I do feel a bit sorry for him - maybe I’ll put out a little bowl of peanuts on the ground for him when I fill the bird feeders. I don’t want him to feel hungry.
In other news - the wonderful plumber came and figured out how to fix the leaky outside pipe. The very efficient and pleasant window man came to measure up to drop one new pane in my kitchen window - there’s just one section where the seal has gone and it’s full of condensation. The outstandingly skilled plasterer came and smoothed out all the bumpy holey bits of my living room walls, ready for the decorating to proceed. So far so good.
I messaged the window fitting man. Gaps have emerged around the lovely new wooden front windows and wind and rain are coming in. Twice he’s not come when he said he would. They’re supposed to be guaranteed for 10 years. He rang me and became quite aggressive with me, when I said he should message me to tell me he’s not keeping an appointment. He was ranting, said “well it’s not like your house is falling down is it”. I told him I’ll get someone else to do it, I don’t want him in my house. I think he’s a very angry man and I wouldn’t feel safe. The plasterer said a. those gaps are normal when wood is first fitted, and b. It’s perfectly simple to use ordinary caulk to fill the gaps. So I’ll stop worrying about that. But I was upset and frightened by the aggression directed at me.
