Jurassic Christmas
Feeling a bit under the weather today, but on the plus side it has lent my voice a delightfully deep timbre.
Work has been work, but I did get to see The Eldest at lunchtime when I gave her a lift back to her mum’s. She needs a bit of a time out from the stresses and strains that got with University life. It was nice to see her and deliver a hug.
The afternoon passed without incident and post-leftovers from last night’s chilli, my father popped round to run some Panto lines and we had a lovely discussion about performing and how even in something as seemingly simple as Panto, character motivations are still important. Particularly for him as the Big Bad this year!
I realised whilst I was sitting there that I hadn’t shared this tree decoration which was gifted to me by a friend. It was based on a text message exchange earlier this year which involved dinosaurs and Christmas and somehow she managed to find a fancy tree decoration (in Harrods, no less!) which spanned the genres.
Once my father had left, I wasn’t good for much else, so went to bed and watched some football with a cup of tea and biscuit in hand.
I’ll try to provide a photo that doesn’t involve my tree tomorrow….
