Commute

An early start to get over to Glasgow for the AGM. Walked down to the station before sunrise, which arrived in a blaze of colour on the journey over, and home in the pouring rain and darkness (before 5pm but looked like the middle of the night!).
The day went smoothly, with a great talk and piano performance from students to help the AGM along, then a couple of meetings and chats, some soup and bread for lunch then sitting in on a committee meeting in the afternoon that was interesting and gave me quite an insight into how the staff are thinking. I was a little distracted at points as I watched the news of the Scottish Government budget announcement…..
I was tired when I got home but decided to just have a snack supper before heading back out to choir. It was good…nice to get to know a few people I hadn’t spoken to before and we powered through quite a few songs. Can’t believe there will be a concert in two weeks and I can’t go next Wednesday…I need to practice at home!
Still filthy weather as I drove home, but thank goodness I got a parking place on the street. Chatted to A and she’s offered to come and help me with the tree tomorrow night and stay over so she can shop for N’s Christmas present on Friday.
