Bonus

Went up to Coalie Park in the morning to help with litter picking and sweeping. The swans were out in force - the seven cygnets are now as big as their parents. Must be time to move on, girls.

Went to Asda for a few oddments - was struck by a large pot containing several plants that appeared to be on their last legs. A 'festive planter' apparently. Then noticed that the price was reduced from £12 to 10 pence. Had to, really. Having disentangled them (main problem was that they were bone dry) and put them in separate pots I gave them some water. The ivy will be fine, as will the plant top right (don't think it's a conifer, but can't mind its name). The heather should be OK too - can probably plant it out come the spring. Even the cyclamen might revive, if it's corms are intact.
