Perranporth
Today's adventure took us to 'Perranporth' so that I could have a play all the way along the beach. The beach there is HUGE, especially when the tide is out, and Ann had timed our visit so that the tide would be all the way out. She'd also taken my ball and thrower, because she said I hadn't had enough exercise since we came back to St Ives a week ago.
Mmmmm............... I've been getting a couple of hours of walks a day and that's normal so I'm not quite sure what she's going on about.
However, she also says I'm eating too much and she doesn't want me morphing into a fat lazy pooch. I'm wolfing down my breakfast and then at dinner time I'm asking for early dinner and I also keep asking for seconds. Why do you think that is?
Anyway, I'm always pleased to be going on a big long walk, so I was well happy to be going off on an adventure, especially as I'd had some home alone time after my morning walk, while Ann went for a swim. No she didn't go swimming in the sea. She's a 'fair-weather swimmer' and doesn't think she'll be doing any sea swimming (apart from the boxing day swim) until next April. Lol! She's going to be swimming at the pool at the caravan park (which is pretty much across the road from us). It's fabulous (see extras) and over the winter she'll probably have it pretty much to herself. It's cheaper than trekking all the way up to the Council Leisure Centre, it's available all day (so she can swim at whatever time she wants) and the restaurant (in the same building) does 'dip & dine' offers, so she might even treat herself to breakfast every now and again. …....OK, it's a weeny, teeny pool (if one is in it by oneself does that really matter?) but Ann knows that it takes her about 30-35 mins to swim half a mile, so today she swam 100 lengths which took her about 40 mins so she reckons if she does that each time she swims, she'll be doing her normal amount of swimming. What's not to like?!
There weren't many people around in Perranporth today but I didn't care because I had my ball and when I have my ball, I'm totally focused on it. I played and played and played. I had to keep having 'flop downs' but that was OK because I make the rules when I'm playing with my ball. Running around with my ball for 2 hours is exhausting!!!
Home now and I'm absolutely shattered (see extras). Ann's just about to feed me but she's thinking that I'm too tired to eat.
Ann's pretty tired too. She was going to pop down to the 'Pool Club' (to see one of her colleagues who is leaving next week) but it's raining and it's cold and she's tired so she can't be bothered.
Happy Wednesday evening Blippers. xxx
