The promised mystery tour, postponed from Wednesday and still looking dicey, weather-wise when the alarm went off this morning. As it was we took a two hour drive to, apparently, the very edge of the world (actually Lincolnshire) where, for reasons best known to themselves, grey seals have set up a massive breeding colony. We parked in a field, spent an hour and a half with the seals, ate our sandwiches in the car and drove home. It was great. Seriously, just thinking about them now, as I type, I can feel the smile forming on my face...
