Winter ready....

forget a Summer ready body, this squirrel is nicely 'rounded' for the cold spell!  Watched him while at a friends house this morning and he was being followed round the garden by a magpie who noticed he had a good knack of finding treats!

Had a lovely catch up with our friends, tinged with sadness too as their neighbour, who we've known for years too, sadly passed away over the weekend.  He'd been diagnosed with  cancer fairly recently and was doing well, but had to go into hospital last week where he caught Covid and deteriorated very quickly.  He was only 70 so it's just so sad as he was such a lovely man.
