A lovely day at work, especially fun having the shadow puppet presentations of Sun and Moon myths from different countries. My class did really well with those.

After school, a few teachers from my school went to a Foreign Schools Association organised event to go bowling and then for a meal. The bowling was great fun. This is my team in the photo, all teachers from Korean Schools. I was pleased that, although I hardly ever go bowling, I did pretty well; three strikes in two games and a score of 78 in the first game and 75 in the second. 

The meal at the Korean restaurant was nice at first, but I became less and less happy as it went on, the guests getting increasingly rowdy and drunk. I just cannot understand why downing pints of alcohol is something to be clapped and cheered, and there was no way I was going to join in with encouraging that kind of behaviour, so I left early. Another teacher from my school said that if all Korean parties are like this, just an excuse for getting drunk, then he would love to go to more of them. I'm pretty sure I won't. Probably next year I'll just go for the bowling and skip the meal.
