Festive table setting
A very busy day. I had a massage this morning, almost late for it because of the very long delays with the road repairs. Alice has magic hands, worked out a few knots, and I left feeling very relaxed. I had a few chores to do in Ganges and didn't get home until just before 2pm, again a very long wait with the repairs. I had called our doctor this morning because I have a ganglion cyst below my knee that started leaking in Germany, got so much gel out of it that it went from about 1/2 inch high to flat. I was a bit worried but just got some antibiotic lotion and kept it clean. It filled back up and started leaking again yesterday, again it went flat, but it filled up and was leaking again this morning. The doctor was working in the hospital today, but I asked the receptionist to ask him if I should come in to see him or if he thought the cyst would be okay. She left a message and when I checked it when I got home, she said he could see me this afternoon. I called and she asked if I could be there in about half an hour. Back to town I rushed and did see the doc. He said he'd never heard of a ganglion bursting on its own, but he checked it and said it looked okay, just keep it clean and put polysporin on it. I wasn't worried about it but thought it was unusual that it burst more than once, so I was reassured after seeing him. Again, two long waits going to the doc and coming home.
Anyway, I spent a lot of time waiting in the car for traffic to move. So unusual to see so much traffic at one time here! Maybe I'll bring a book next time I have to go to town.
I took this photo in the local hardware store knowing that I wouldn't get many others. I liked the festive colours.
