It wasn't me

I went with Bundle to a concert of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier book 2 by the critically acclaimed pianist, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and was unimpressed. Technically, he is superb but it felt as if he was just going through the motions and didn't really want to be there. Maybe the church round the corner from me - though it's an established concert venue and does put on some excellent concerts - is too downmarket for him (certainly presenting him with a small box of chocolates at the end was embarrassingly naff). Maybe he wasn't impressed that there were some empty seats. Maybe he was in a bad mood. Or maybe it was just me and Bundle. A shame.
