The day was spent at the Niassa Reserve HQ. After work Bastiaan cooked steaks on his braai for myself and Sam, a Zimbabwean colleague. He also drove up a scenic inselberg which has varied and wild views in all directions. We were lacking beer for a sundowner, but the sentiment was there.

A nice activity that befits a four thousandth blip celebration and I’m happy to be documenting it in Niassa, a place that I find very special and which has cropped up in various blip posts stretching back several years.

4000 feels like a wild milestone but I am very grateful for this community and the ability to catalogue the crazy ride of life. I am still very grateful to the delectable bananablip for introducing me to this platform, even though I took a few years of work to be convinced. There are not many better ways to spend an hour than getting lost in blips from several years prior. And I thank you faithful fellow blippers for sticking with me through the cantankerous, random and politically charged posts.
