Little Acrobat

Verdins have special talents. So special, they could be world class gymnasts. This guy was looking to lick some spilled nectar from the underpart of the hummingbird feeder.

It was a day to drive to Tucson to see a doctor. My GPS had me go down Grant Rd. I hate going down Grant Rd because there's perpetual construction. At first, I sailed through, thinking that they must have finally finished after years of torturing drivers on the East Side of the city. I was rudely awakened from this daytime dream by 5 miles of single lane, 25 mph traffic, between orange cones. I didn't take Grant Rd on the way home. But I did get behind a truckload of orange cones (extra).

"It's May," he said.
I said, "Sorry. May I get a couple of weeks off for Christmas?"
