Nature Diary..Walking and reminiscing
There was not a breath of wind nor a hint of rain. SB and I met with friends for an early morning stride up the steep cliff path of the hill nearby. All the sheep and cows had been moved and were now gazing elsewhere.
The ground was firm under foot and the air was mild.
With a flask of hot coffee to share and some crunchy oatcakes to munch we had a pleasant morning walking and chatting about the many decades we've known each other and about the many changes our locality has seen.
With one final prayer for close friends, well loved and now passed on, we stood together and gazed out across the sea, remembering the many times we swam there, surfed there, rowed there, sailed there, barbecued on the beach, and spent free afternoons lazing about together there, on hot summer days, a long, long time ago. Special friends. Precious memories. Good times.
