Green Heron
Edward and I stopped at the McKenzie Marsh today to see what we could find. We hit the motherlode of waterbirds today! The water was low but there were at least four Great Blue Herons, a this Green Heron (we've never seen one of these before), a Black-Crowned Night-Heron (another new one to us), Canada geese, mallards, a baby waterbird (small like a duckling but long legs and jet black), plus some turtles. We'll have to go again tomorrow. Oh, and Edward blipped a Solitary Sandpiper. We've never seen them before either! Quite the day!
If you haven't heard, I started a second blipblog: lindee2
