bird's eye view

The friend I am visiting in Kansas City has a lovely home with a back deck overlooking a public park at tree top level.
I heard the cry of a red tailed hawk but couldn't see it, until finally it came so close we were eye to eye. I only got three hurried shots before it took off. This is not very crisp, but it is the best of the lot.
Even though I was on my friend's deck, I felt I was in the tree with the hawk.
Very exhilarating!
