Final stages
A big crane was delivered to the building sites this morning - well the bit at the Bonnington Road end. The rest of it is more or less finished - apart from the bits that aren't quite finished. As it were. But the final phases of the build between Bonnington Road and Biscuit Factory are now in train and when I came back from Glasgow after Book Group not only was Anderson Place closed, but there was a traffic control on Bonnington Road, as the carriageway had been limited to one lane. Anyway, I chose this as my blip partly because I liked the contrast between the big crane and the person on a scooter.
I had a usual Monday-ish sort of day. Nothing too stressful. Well, for me, anyway. An interesting lunch with SS. We'll be working closely together for the next few years, all being well.
After my last meeting, I walked along to Ridgeback's as she was giving three of us a lift to Glasgow for Book Group dinner at Laura Muir's. It was a lovely evening, with delicious Persian themed food, with an English twist. I'm enjoying the book (Elif Shafak's There are Rivers in the Sky) but I haven't finished it yet. They didn't give me any spoilers, but I am intrigued to see how the blended stories resolve themselves.
I got home to Mr A in bed and a bus lane charge for driving on The Shore. Whoops.
