Paseo
There's so much to do in Malaga since its candidacy for European city of culture 2016. Last November, in Malaga with Arachne, as the rain poured down and flooded the city, we enjoyed the Picasso Museum, the Carmen Thyssen Museum and more. Today the Classic Car Museum was top of the list but the trip was foiled by the Malaga Film Festival which had taken over the Museum for the whole day and shut it down to the general public.
One great advantage of the Malaga film festival, however, was the plush red carpets laid out on the streets, softening every step, wonderful! A significant amount of time was spent mooching about town before heading out to the sea front for a walk along the promenade, out past the port, along the promontory, past the lighthouse and out to sea. There were fabulous views along the coast and it was great to sit and watch the world go by, though mainly watch the fishermen faffing about with their boat and their catch, providing entertainment for the best part of the afternoon. The faffing may well have been in part so that they could enjoy the topless bathers, exhibiting their silicone best.
This evening dinner was at the sister tapas bar to last night's restaurant El Tapeo de Cervantes - a feast!
