The first day of December

It's 1 December and time to unveil our new advent calendar:  we have had the previous one for several years and I was fed up with the fact that it had 2 drawers labelled 11 and none labelled 9, something that I didn't notice when I bought it some years ago at a knockdown price.
The new advent calendar has all the drawers correctly labelled and built in lights to boot so whats not to love.
In other news: daughter #1 and her partner P, dropped in for a while on their way back from Manchester.  It was good to see them especially as we didn't see P on his birthday on Friday.  The bad news is that I have A Cold, the symptoms of which did not come on until the evening. I have various outings ahead of me this week so I hope it doesn't prevent me from doing them.
