Driftwood Sculpture
Today I crossed the lake to Evian to celebrate Jean's 93rd Birthday! We had lunch out and then came back to chocolate almond cake with lots of candles! I had baked the cake yesterday.
The Driftwood Sculptures (called 'Flottins') are very well known in Evian. They haven't created with big sculptures and the village yet, but I liked this smaller one of a fisherman with a seagull perched on his head! The big installations will be done mid-December.
The lake crossing was fairly calm and we had some blue sky, but when I returned it was raining rather steadily.
