Worked it out...

Yesterday I posted a Highland cow blip - pic taken yesterday but it came up as taken in 2017! What's going on I wondered?... I'd forgotten that I had reset my camera, had not set the date correctly and so on. I now have.

Gloomy & rainy with a bit of dry in the middle of the day. Back to the coos & parent & child looked sweet.

In other news, over the 30 years or so I've lived in this house, there have been occasional rodents coming in. Maybe 3/4 times. A couple of weeks ago, there was one - a rat...As far as I knew, all places to come in had been sealed with narrow gauge chicken wire/wire wool - apparently the only things they cannot chew through. My sis, brother in law & me searched & fixed & the only place left was by the boiler. I had a new one a couple of years ago and some tiles were removed as it's bigger.

Today I bought narrow gauge chicken wire and put it there - also having a bespoke wooden thing made to go there.

I moved the sofa & found a little pile of wotsits - I don't eat wotsits & so where did it find them?!

Not nice for sure. The first time this happened I just couldn't sleep. Now I'm more like 'Get the (insert a swear word of your choice) out of my house you little bugger.'

Let's see what happens this eve...

In my second 'other news' - I’m quite hooked on Barbara Erskine novels on Audible. Nearly finished 'Whispers in the Sand.' I've enjoyed it but found that I wanted to get to the end with about 3 hours to go. I have about an hour and a half left.
