A welcome visit
In a bit embarrassed how poor the quality is - full zoom on phone camera through not terrifically clean windows. But I hope you can see him ok. I knew if I moved towards him he would fly away immediately. I like to think he’s warming towards me slightly, since I gave him a dead rat (courtesy of Portia) a few days ago. He stood there for quite a while cawing - four on the same note, then four a third lower, then four on a deep gravelly note
In the afternoon I went to see “the Teacher” part of the Palestinian film festival in Bristol. Absolutely brilliant - directed by Farah Nabulsi - so much to it, but in essence about the incursion of settlers in the West Bank - demolishing homes, burning olive trees, killing with impunity. And how to respond - and whether to try to get justice or revenge. I recommend anyone interested in what’s happening in Palestine at present to watch it.
