Should I stay or should I go?

The last quarter of the twentieth century my brother was a member of the cult known as 'Scooter Boys' *  Fast forward to 2024 and he still is, at heart, but now when the original crowd get together, it's more like 'Scooter Pensioners'. Tonight it was the (South) Essex Scooterists Christmas Bash at the British Legion in Wickford, entertained by a band called Broadway Clash playing to a very full house.  Not normally my scene, but Gareth invited me to go with him and I thought 'why not' - and I'm very glad I did. Oh - and my niece Maddy was our driver - the role reversal is kinda weird -the 'kid' is the one providing the taxi service for the old folk who are going out on a Saturday night ☺
