Through the kitchen window

This is very blurred but what struck me in this photo is the length and shape of the magpie's tail with blue feathers at the end of it.  We were once plagued by magpies one year and someone from the village came up with a magpie trap and caught a few.  They haven't been back in great numbers since.

Went down to the family for roast chicken late afternoon.  The grandchildren wanted to bring the Christmas Tree into the house which they succeeded in doing - much too early for me!
